May 11, 2022 - WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Bioeconomy Information Sharing and Analysis Center (BIO-ISAC) is pleased to announce Dr. Andrew Kilianski has joined its National Security Advisory Board.
“BIO-ISAC was created in response to the recognized need to secure our nation's infrastructure, technology, supply chain, and cybersecurity response targets related to the bioeconomy,” says BIO-ISAC Co-founder and Board Chair, Charles Fracchia. “We will only be as prepared and capable as our partners and participants and welcoming Andy to this effort is a major step forward in our capacity to deliver on these goals.”
With over ten years of experience in biosecurity and emergency response, Kilianski joins the BIO-ISAC National Security Advisory Board to champion industry-wide advances in threat response preparedness and modeling across the bioeconomy. Through his current role as the Senior Director for Emerging Infectious Diseases at IAVI, Kilianski’s work focuses on fighting future pandemics and reducing the burden of infectious disease.
“The opportunity to join BIO-ISAC continues a mission that I care deeply about. From my time in the Department of Defense and US COVID 19 response I have seen first hand the importance of information sharing and bringing the community together to improve security and operations,” says Andrew Kilianski.
The National Security Advisory Board at BIO-ISAC is one of several concentrated workgroups, tailored to mobilizing industry leaders to build capacity and thoughtfully engage required partners in securing the bioeconomy.
